This left us in a deep valley and we didn't know how to get out of it. It seemed every time we started to regain our footing, something else out of our control would happen, knocking us back down again.
That is when God began leading us on an Inner Work journey. As we began to peal back the layers, we discovered there was so much more was happening beneath the surface than we realized.
We didn’t know we were actually bumping into invisible barriers, and that these barriers were more rooted in our past experiences and the narratives we carried than our current life conditions.
Have you ever noticed how life seems to conspire against you when you are going through hard times? Something goes wrong in one area of your life and then out of nowhere–like a string unraveling–stuff goes wrong in other areas too?
This is because problems don't begin on the outside, they begin on the inside. The closing of our social business was not an isolated event, but rather, it was the tipping point which exposed everything that had been building up under the surface.
We didn't "hit a wall" in life because of our life conditions had changed, but because we tried to outrun the past experiences and narratives that were following us from childhood, and eventually, they caught up with us.
When we began our inner work journey, we didn't have the path or the tools to navigate our inner landscape. We longed for a Christian program on this, but none existed!
As a result we had to spend years and tens-of-thousands of dollars on expensive programs and certifications (both Christian and secular)–spanning disciplines of life coaching, practical psychology, nervous system training, story work, and more–filtering everything through a Biblical lens to find the nuggets that were truly impactful, and leave the rest.
As a result, our coaching programs are powerful, unique, and 100% Gospel-centered.
This journey gave us a deep understanding of our human condition–how God made us–and the unique calling He has for each of us.
That is why we founded Pursue What Matters Coaching, because we knew there were other Christians out there in this same place and we didn't want them to have to wander aimlessly for years trying to figure it out on their own.
We wanted to provide them with the path and tools–from a Christian perspective–to navigate their own inner landscape so they can cultivate greater peace, fulfillment, and purpose in every area of life, as they co-create with Jesus on their compelling future.
If you find yourself in this place, don't let another year go by living in this valley. It's time to begin your journey of Inner Work, and we will be there with you as companions and guides every step of the way.
